ZMBR
The Medical Care Network (ZMBR) was introduced to Pluriform Software in 2004 by Prof.dr.ir. Hein Fleuren of CentER Applied Research of the Universiy of Tilburg. CenterAR had developed together with ZMBR a tool to perform scenario analyses over the whole care chain based on logistic patient information. Van Geffen: "We came to Pluriform to find out whether they could build an application with Pluriform to simply gather this logistic data from."
Exploit the users own expertise
Then, in a workshop of seven days a browser based Pluriform system has been build to record the demanded capacity in different care chains. Van Geffen: "In the beginning we were very sceptical because we should have been life two weeks after our fist meeting, but we made it in three weeks." Also the lack of any experience with Pluriform in the field of care chains, initially caused Van Geffen to doubt his choice: "But everything was build in direct interaction with our professionals, so our care knowledge was put right into the system".
Expand with care information
The speed and ease of realizing ZMBR specific functionality is the main advantage for Van Geffen: "Pluriform's flexibility proved very important for us, profitable extensions are quickly surveyed and realized together". The system is set up to offer facilities for better operational support to improve the coordination and cooperation in the chain (eg. planning). ZMBR seeks to enrich PVS with functionality about the cure and care process itself: "we want to record all information of patients undergoing these processes, which has to be communicated over the chain" according to Van Geffen. (this has been accomplished in 2007).
